Sunday Bible Class
This is one of the most popular opportunities for members to “grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior”. All members are encouraged to attend. Conveniently scheduled from 9:15 – 10:15am between the two worship services, Bible Class runs the same time as Sunday School, enabling families with children to participate.
Excellent guest presenters are often invited to conduct a series, usually one of topical interest and benefit to our faith-lives. The pastor conducts the other faith-building opportunity, usually a study and discussion of a specific book of the Bible. This approach allows two separate Sunday morning classes/series to be offered during many months of the year (Sept-Nov and Jan-Apr).
Men from within the congregation and their friends meet on Sundays at 6:00 pm, for a 25-minute Bible study followed by an hour of “guy stuff”. Following the Bible study the group splits and based on their preference plays a few hands of Sheepshead or games of basketball.
Each Sunday between services (9:15-10:15am) children from grades 3K – 8 are invited to participate in Sunday School, held in the school building. Children are grouped by age in classes led by Pilgrim faculty and parent volunteers where they hear an age-appropriate Bible study, sing songs, and make crafts.
Looking for a fun and unique way to study and apply God’s word? Then join us for “Dinner and a Movie” Bible Study. We will attempt to choose a variety of movies that appeal to a wide range of tastes and ages. The movies may or may not be based on Christian themes. However, each study will challenge you to see the connection between the film, your faith and your life. All studies incorporate Scripture, so you may want to bring your Bible.
